Hit this little red road to view open fields, cattle grazing on sloping hillsides and a farmer ploughing his fields. A hedgerow bordering the road leads to an old millpond where mixed woodland creates a light canopy. Wildflowers, including an abundance of lupins in season grow along the roadside. Just east of New Perth on Rte.3, the designated portion runs from Rte. 3, travelling south for 3 km, to meet the the millstream which is at the mid point of the road. This point meets the Mellish Road.
In the late 1800’s the road served as the route to Perth Mills. Today this country lane provides farmers with access to fields and opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
