One of the most popular long white sandy beaches on Points East Coastal Drive, the Panmure causeway has water access on both sides. Visitors will experience a long white sandy ocean beach with sand dunes on the ocean side and sheltered red sandy shores and clam digging on the St. Mary’s Bay. Change rooms, convenience store. Facilities. Supervised.

The 100-acre campground park offers lifeguards, laundromat, hot showers, flush toilets, kitchen shelters, fireplaces, supply store, dumping station, look-out tower, change rooms, canteen, boat launching.

The First Nations People hold an annual Pow Wow at Panmure Island in August. This spiritual/cultural event includes drum bands, native crafts and a healing sweat tent.

The Panmure Island Lighthouse sits at the end of the causeway and is open to visitors. Climb the tower for spectacular views.
