Lighthouses

The romance of island life combined with the unpredictable fury of nature made heroes of the lighthouses of Prince Edward Island. Along Points East Coastal Drive the lighthouses are a standing tribute to a people who celebrate all that the ocean gives and mourns all that it takes away. A visit to one of our many lighthouses offers a chance to learn about our sea-faring history and picture-perfect, scrapbook-worthy photo opportunities. Only eight lighthouses on all of PEI are open to the public and luckily six of those can be found here along Points East Coastal Drive so watch for lighthouses that offer tours for a trip back in time and the very best ocean views. And just like people, all lighthouses are unique so be sure to visit them all!
