The St. Peter’s Courthouse Theatre will host it’s 10th annual festival in memory of professor, poet and storyteller Frank Ledwell, in the historic courthouse theatre two doors down from where he grep up at “The Bay”. This year’s programming will begin Friday, August 16, and close with a performance anchored by the duo of comedian and storyteller Patrick Ledwell and multi-instrumentalist Mark Haines on Sunday, August 18th. Frank’s talented family is again helping the Courthouse Theatre plan a weekend of activities celebrating creativity, stories, memories, and music.

Please register in advance by purchasing a $15 ticket.
Everyone likes cooking that is whipped up from scratch. But if you want to cook up a story or poem, what is this magical “scratch” and where do you find it? Whether you know it or not, you probably have some on hand. In a short, dynamic, interactive workshop with poet and author Jane Ledwell, you’ll get to inventory your writer’s pantry. What ingredients do you already have on hand to tell the story your heart wants to tell? How can you combine the ingredients to create something that can’t be found anywhere else?
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Writers Circle by The Bay
Open to the public. Admission by donation.
Workshop participants who wish to read from their work will join several invited experienced and published Prince Edward Island writers Bren Simmers and Laurie Brinklow in a writers’ circle of readings from works old and new, emceed by Jane Ledwell.
