Boughton River Hiking Trail
Community: Bridgetown
Today, the primary industries in Cardigan are services, manufacturing and fishing. The Cardigan Marina is one of the hubs of the community; located on the Cardigan River, and part of the three rivers that open up into Cardigan Bay. Cardigan is well known for its lobster, mussels and clams and is a favourite destination for many culinary-enthusiasts for this reason. There are also beautiful beaches and manicured golf-courses nearby! Fun Fact: Cardigan is home to Canada’s smallest library! (Click here). This little library is in full working order, and open daily during the peak season. It is a 12’ x 12’ foot building, with over 1,500 quality books!
