NCC protects land, animals and plants for future generations by conserving land and working with local communities and volunteers. We have helped protect natural treasures across the province: coastal dunes in St. Peter’s Harbour and the Conway Sandhills, where endangered piping plover nest; offshore islands like Holman’sand Thomas Island, where seals lounge and swim; and rare forest in areas like Egmont Bay. As the country’s leading environmental charity, Nature Conservancy of Canada has worked in PEI for over 35 years and has helped protect over 4,900 acres across the province.
